Fundraising

The six units of this My Life programme are each based on a case study representative of the real work The Children's Society is involved in on a daily basis, to ensure that as many children as possible have the childhood they deserve.

We need your help to continue to support children like those featured in each of the units. Children like Kesia, who as a young carer faces challenges that children shouldn't have to deal with alone, or Andrew who could have faced a life in isolation due to communication difficulties resulting from his severe disability.

By supporting The Children's Society through fundraising you will make all the difference in ensuring we can continue to be there for children like Kesia and Andrew.

You can do whatever works best for your school or class to raise these life-changing funds, but we can offer a free and simple fundraising pack that won't place any extra strain on your time or resources. Just pick whatever cause featured in My Life that you wish to focus your fundraising on and we'll supply you with everything you need to make a big difference.

£30 pays for two disabled children to visit the seaside in a specially equipped vehicle.

£60 gives a group of young carers like Kesia the chance to get out of the home for an evening to go bowling.

£60 pays for the cost of three massage sessions to help ease the pain of a physically disabled child.

£100 would fund work with a child like Kesia coping with the trauma of looking after parents who abuse drugs or alcohol.

How it works
First register or log in.

Then follow just three steps to start making a difference to thousands of children's childhoods across the country.

Step 1: Choose any of the six areas covered by My Life to focus your fundraising on - your class might like to vote on this.

Step 2: Download mock emails from the relevant My Life character(s) to encourage your pupils.

Step 3: Order your fundraising pack containing:

  • Collection box
  • Box stickers and reseal labels
  • Giro
  • Collection envelopes

Ask your pupils to take a collection envelope home to their parents or carers and bring any donations for your collection box.

Some pupils may like to take a few envelopes to collect from other friends and family.

When you're ready, open the box in the presence of a witness.

Pay the funds into The Children's Society account at any Barclays Bank or Post Office using the Giro provided.

Or send a cheque (payable to 'The Children's Society') with the unused Giro to:

My Life, The Children's Society, Freepost LON14784, London WC1X 0JL

Thank you!
